Say what you will of Vashj'ir, but in terms of story progression it is almost unparalleled. It takes you from the sunny seas, through the bright and colourful kelp forest, and onwards into the abyss. It's a descent into the depths, into history, into madness, and into the unknown.

I will never forget the first time I played through it. Hopefully they'll do something similar with Queen Azshara and Nazjatar in BfA, even if only for a patch.
