Mists of Pandaria, to me, was the best point in WoW's history.

Now I know what you're thinking, but hear me out. I'm not talking about the very beginning of MoP, with launch and Landfall, I'm talking Escalation and Siege of Orgrimmar.5.3: Escalation. With the addition of the Barrens battlefield, the incredibly engaging new scenarios, and the Brawler's Guild, along with the many things to do with Battle Pets, and the ability to clear Throne of Thunder, there was just so much you could possibly do. Which lead to this being the most hardcore point in WoW for me, where I earned "Glory of the Thundering Raider" in 5.3 and "Glory of the Orgrimmar Raider" back in 5.4.2. But aside from there being a plethora of content to do, the Barrens battlefield was the first time since the beginning of wrath that everyone was trying to work together.5.4: The Timeless Isle. This marks what seems to be for a lot of people, especially MoP fans, the best patch that World of Warcraft has ever done. The rep was grindy yet somehow not tedious, it required you to work with groups to maximize your potential reputation gains. The chests required you to be aware of your surroundings, and since you could not fly on Timeless Isle, it required skill, precision, and timing. Once you got the chest, it was very gratifying. The world boss was wonderful too, for those of you who don't know, you needed the Legendary cloak to cross the bridge to fight Ordos, which was kind of a throwback to the old world bosses where you needed to be 'hardcore' if you wanted a good chance at defeating them. Timeless Isle coins allowed you to buy timeless 535 gear, toys, mounts, and of course, the pets. Timeless Isle balanced the instant gratification side of players along with the hardcore players to make an equilibrium that worked perfectly. And it stands the test of time, no pun intended.5.4: Siege of OrgrimmarAlong with Throne of Thunder, Siege of Orgrimmar was yet another amazing Pandaria raid, but this one was different..a lot different. One of the best final raids of an expansion in World of Warcraft, Siege of Orgrimmar's 14 bosses had easy to pickup, but hard to master boss mechanics for LFR, Flex, and Normal. Of course Heroic was for the best, and this was a very difficult raid. But none of this really is what makes Pandaria the best, not at all. What makes Pandaria the best, wasit marked the first time World of Warcraft was able to break off from Warcraft lore, and make its own unique, dynamic story. Cataclysm tried but it was too much of a throwback to the past 3 expansions, and not in a very tasteful way. With 5.2 onward, World of Warcraft went in such a unique direction with its characters, plot, diplomacies, enemies, and atmosphere, that Pandaria was able to change World of Warcraft for the better. Warlords of Draenor and Legion were able to pick up where Pandaria left off, on creating a story that was unique to World of Warcraft.TL:DR; Mists of Pandaria opened up a brand new world of exploration for storytelling and character utilization that can be seen in the 2 succeeding expansions, and hopefully for years to come. MoP was the best for being revolutionary in the way World of Warcraft handles its raid, PvE, and plot directions. Thanks for listening.
