Are loot rules, while looting is set to personal, enforceable?

I joined a NH run a few nights ago with a note of "Convergence of Fates and Druid tier chest reserved"...however, it was set to personal loot.I happened to get the Convergence of Fates and almost immediately a hunter opened trade with me saying "Give me CoF, reserved for me", which I can't do because it's higher ilvl than what I have.After I explain that, I'm kicked from the group (of course) and told that I was reported for not following their loot rules.So my questions are:1) Do I need to be worried about not following their rules because I wasn't able to?2) Since when do people reserve stuff in personal loot?
